The random encounters in this area are particularly nasty. Scorpions, frogs, undead forces and ghoul patrols  inhabit  this  sector.  Beware  of  the  ghoul’s  ability  to  level  drain,  when  you  finish  a  battle check your characters’ experience points and if someone is level drained it’s strongly suggested to reload and retry. Reach  the  well  at  4  and  select  your  thief  to  climb  down  the  rope.  You’ll  encounter  the  thieves master that makes you an offer, accept it and you’ll be guided back to the surface at 7. Go to the barracks (6) and clean it, then go to 5 and eliminate the hobgoblins. Enter the temple (8). You’ll be immediately attacked by an horde of hobgoblins guided by a goblin priest. Concentrate your efforts on the priest first (he’s able to cast “Sleep” on your characters) then turn to the hobgoblins. When the battle is over remember to pick up the priest’s items (included a brass key). Rest and go to 10. This is the secret room of the hobgoblins leader, an ogre. Eradicate the threat and pick up Cadorna’s box at the end of the battle without opening it. With the box in your possession return to the well (4) and have your thief climb down. Give the box to the master and receive your part of its content. You can now go to the prison cell (9) and free Skullcrusher with your brass key. Get him with your party and return to the Council Clerk. He’ll leave you before entering the building. Receive your reward, rest and heal. Go to the Trolls lair in the Slums if you haven’t done it yet or prepare to go to the Mendor’s Library.
