F. Teleport to Well of Knowledge
You’ll find yourself at the lift at 1 on the left map. This lift connects all levels of the mines but for
now this is the only level available so go south, eliminate some monsters and enter the temple.
In the Temple of Tyr you can rest everywhere.
There is a teleport at F to return to the Well of Knowledge and a peephole at 4 that you can use to
spy the enemy troops outside.
Grab the treasures at 2 then proceed to 3 to meet Derf.
Derf Strongarm was a hero and will tell you the truth on your mission. The enemy is called
Dreadlord, brother of Oswulf, and he must be destroyed with the help of some useful items before
he can escape from his icy prison.
The dwarf will send you on a quest to retrieve eight pieces of a staff belonged to Oswulf. You can
find a piece in each of the first eight levels of the mines. So exit the temple and return to the lift that
will now function and begin your underground explorations.
